Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to overcome the challenges of her life by using her vivid and expansive imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she was able to write and read. When she got her first guitar at age of 8, she began performing on local radio stations from Knoxville, Tennessee. That same year, she recorded her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small label. In high school she established herself in the local community, yet she yearned for an even bigger stage. When she was graduating in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her first two charting albums on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner's syndicated tv show needed an additional singer around this point. Parton took the offer and in the year 1967, she signed with RCA Records in 1968 and became a member of in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. She left Wagoner's show, but in 1974, because her albums on her own like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene beat out their collaborative albums. Parton, after the split of their partnership with Wagoner she wrote the song"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and made it to Number. In 1974, Parton's song"I Will Always Love You" reached the No.
